Born to William Hoyt and Essie Ozell Armour Woodall of White, Georgia, Billie had one daughter, Donna Skye Finch of Dalton, Georgia, and two grandsons, Shawn W, Finch of Houston, Texas, and Christopher W. Finch of Ooltewah, Tennessee. She had eight great grandchildren, Austen, Aaron, Aiden, Abby, Kimberlee, Brody, Sharif and Zahara who lovingly called her Memaw.
Billie D. Goldsboro was married to Oral Wilson Goldsboro in 1947, lovingly called “Goldy”. They were married for over 40 years. Goldy preceded her to heaven in 1988. Billie never remarried, stating that he was the love of her life, and second best would never do.
Born in 1926, Billie Goldsboro was a dedicated member of Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta for over 50 years. It was here that she made many lifelong friends. Her second greatest love after serving the Lord was her family. Family events and gatherings were her greatest joy. She often remarked how blessed she was to have seen her great grandchildren grow up and graduate from high school and even college.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Billie Goldsboro on Saturday, December 10,2022 at 11:00 AM, with visitation with family at 10:00 at Georgia Memorial Park & Funeral Home located at 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, GA 30060. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Roswell Street Baptist Church Missions Ministry, in Marietta, Georgia.
