Andrew Preston Quisenberry, age 39, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. Andrew was born on September 26, 1982 in Kingsport, Tennessee to Stephen Quisenberry and Carmen Barbosa.
Andrew graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) with a Bachelor’s degree in Management. He also held a Certificate of Construction Project Management from Kennesaw State University’s College of Professional Education. Andrew and his wife, Tracy, built a successful real estate business together at Keller Williams Realty. In addition, Andrew was the Qualifying Broker for Quisenberry Realty Partners LLC.
Andrew was a classically trained pianist, in his youth, and self-taught on guitar. During college, he was a member of the Georgia Tech Glee Club and had a beautiful voice. He loved listening to music and going to live concerts. He enjoyed playing hymns on the guitar at church meetings.
Sports were an integral part of his life since childhood. Andrew played baseball, basketball, table tennis and pool. He was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Tech and UT college football, and the Golden State Warriors.
Andrew loved hiking and the mountains, going on annual family vacations, making bonfires in his backyard and grilling out.
Friends and family were so important to Andrew. He loved having friends over to watch games, play pool, and listen to music. He enjoyed hosting family events at his house and being surrounded by his loved ones. While Andrew had a quiet, reserved side, he laughed and made jokes all the time. He loved the city of Atlanta and going for walks on the Beltline and hanging out in Piedmont Park. His dream was to eventually live in the city.
Andrew was a loving husband for 9 years to his dear wife, Tracy, and a wonderful father to their one-year old son, Jackson Paul. Andrew was so proud of his new role as “Papi” and looked forward to sharing his love of sports and the Lord with Jackson. Andrew and Tracy also have a furbaby, Dexter, who he loved very much.
Most importantly, Andrew was a believer and first came to accept the Lord Jesus as his Savior in junior high at a church retreat. Throughout his life, Andrew would attend church conferences and participate in home meetings. Andrew always had an open and soft heart to the Lord. We are assured that he is resting with the Him now and do not grieve without hope, knowing that we will see him again in resurrection (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tracy Quisenberry, and their son, Jackson Quisenberry; his parents, Stephen Quisenberry and Carmen Barbosa; his step-father, Jaime Barbosa; his sisters, Doris Kuan and her husband, James; Areal Barbosa, and Amy Wilkinson; his nephew, Daniel Kuan; his nieces, Carissa and Faith Kuan and Bella Wilkinson; along with numerous cousins.
