Jamer, Thomas J., of Coconut Creek, FL passes away on December 2, 2012. Thomas was born on August 2, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY and at an early age resided in Manorville, NY. Married 62 years to Arlene who passed away in January of 2008.
Thomas started his career as a mailman, promoted to Post Master of Manorville and was chosen as Detective of Postal Inspectors.
He was a long standing member of Manorville Fire Department.
Thomas was also an avid pilot, instructor of many. He has accomplished his dream of flying planes, jets, air balloons, gliders, the Good Year Blimp and member of the Civil Air Patrol.
Tom retired after 37 years with the UP Postal Service at the age of 55, Tom and Arlene moved to Coconut Creek, FL and worked for the Coconut Creek Police Department.
He is survived by his children, Florence Rosemond, Thomas C. Jamer, Eileen Nuzzo, Theresa Brown, Elaine Jamer and eight grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Kraeer Funeral home in Margate from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, with a wake service at 6:30 pm. The funeral service will held Friday, December 7th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton , Coral Springs at 10:30 am. Thomas will be buried with military honors at South Florida VA National Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Vitas Hospice in lieu of flowers.
