Dee Ann is survived by her husband, Alberto Nevares, of North Lauderdale, FL; daughters Teresa Nevares Sirko (George), of West Palm Beach, FL; and Christina (Tina) Nevares (George Williamson) of Coral Springs, FL, and grandson Jack Sirko, brother Donald Sampson, and sister Karen Blazek. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Helen Sampson, Brother Ronald Sampson, and sister Lu Hubert,
Dee as she was commonly known, was born on July 24, 1946, in Terre Haute, IN, to parents Jack and Helen Sampson. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked in Early Childhood for more than 30 years at both Village Methodist Pre-School and Family Central, Inc. As well as being a librarian and teacher at Coral Springs Christian School.
Dee was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Alberto in 1967 and the couple have two children and they have lived in North Lauderdale for almost 50 years.
Dee was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in the Early Childhood community for the majority of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and cruising. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind and loving person.
A viewing is scheduled from 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, June 20th, at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1 North State Road 7, Margate, FL 33063. A funeral mass will be held from 10 to 11 am Wednesday, June 21st at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 6200 N. University Dr., Tamarac, FL 33321. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dee's life.
In lieu of Flowers, memorial donations can be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her name.
