Todd was a guy you just liked. Always ready with a laugh and a smart comment. He was always up for a project and a jack of all trades. His passion was classic car restoration and he did at least 35 vehicles over the years. He also loved fishing, wood working, carpentry and small engine repair, anything to work with his hands. Todd was a proud member of the Teamsters and drove delivery for several Lumber Millwork companies over the span of his career.
Todd is survived by his sisters, Joy Shoemaker of Genoa, IL and Kim McKay of Montgomery, IL. His nieces, Sheila (Dave) Kozin of Marengo, Donna (Mike) Peters of Carpentersville, IL, Marilyn (Corey) Burley of Marengo. His Nephews, Ray (Amanda) Russell and Elvis (Sarah) Russell, son-in-law, Mike Hacker of Poplar Grove, IL. His sisters-in-law, Bonnie Russel and Lynda Russell, lifelong friend Ted Richoz, his cat Ziggy, and many great-nieces and nephews and longtime friends who will miss him greatly.
Todd was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (Tillie) after 51 years of marriage, his only child daughter, Wendy Hacker. Mother Shirley, earlier this year, and his father, Tom in 1987.
In honor of his wishes there are no services.
If you'd like to make a donation in his memory, please consider Tails Humane Society of DeKalb, Paws and Purrs of Montgomery, IL, as his cats were a huge part of his life.
