Laurence "Larry" Martin Sadoski

Laurence M. Sadoski, 73, of Harvard Illinois passed away on November 10th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Laurence (Larry) was born on August 29th, 1951 to Edward and Catherine (Chapp) Sadoski of Chicago Illinois. He graduated from Lake Park High School in 1969, after which he pursued a variety of careers within the trades. On June 20th, 1981, he would marry his loving wife Marla (Zambetta) in Elmhurst Illinois. He would later have 3 beautiful children Joseph, Nicole (Reszke), and Christopher.

Over the course of Larry’s life, he held multiple different careers which included Body Shop owner, Truck Driver for Hartwig Transit, and Law Enforcement for the City of Harvard. Larry would later retire from the City of Harvard after 28 years of honorable and faithful service. Even after retiring, he would continue to drive a truck and work part time for the City of Harvard.

From a young age, Larry took a strong interest in the restoration of old vehicles, more specifically Model A Fords. Later, he joined the Model A Restoration Club where he would further progress the club by leading seminars and serving on the judging panel during events. He would later be able to share this passion with his wife and children by attending various meets throughout the year. It was this time with his family that he cherished the most.

In 2016, Larry’s life would take a more busy and exciting turn with the births of his first granddaughter Emmalyn, and grandson Mason (Reszke). As this took up most of his spare time, it would only get crazier and more hectic in 2018 when his second grandson Alexander (Reszke) made his appearance into his world. Later he would enthusiastically welcome his second granddaughter Annalee (Reszke) in 2020, third grandson Jonathon in 2021, and his last grandson Brantley in 2023. His grandchildren were the light of his world, and he could not have been prouder be given the title “Papa”.

Remaining to Cherish Larry’s memory is his wife, Marla Sadoski; brothers: David (Vera) Sadoski, James Sadoski, Mark (Mhay) Sadoski, his children; Joseph (Sara) Sadoski, Nicole (Stephen) Reszke, Christopher (Elizabeth) Sadoski; and his six grandchildren, Emmalyn, Mason, Alexander, Annalee, Jonathon, and Brantley.

Preceding Larry in death are his father, Edward Sadoski; mother, Catherine (Chapp) Sadoski, and his sisters, Johneth Sadoski, and Megan Sadoski.
