John Warren Gundelach, age 56, of Marengo, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. John was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois on April 9, 1968 to Melody and Richard Gundelach. In 1986 John graduated from Fremd High School and went on to receive his Associates Degree from McHenry County College. John was an avid wood worker in his younger years but once he became a father he devoted his time toward his family.
John is survived by his wife Tina Gundelach; children, Jessica (Joe) Janssen, Kyle Gundelach, Ryan Gundelach; mother, Melody Gundelach; sister, Cheryl Gundelach; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gundelach; grandparents, Warren & Irene Gundelach and Kenneth & Dorothy Uselding; great grandmother, Mable Butenschoen; in-laws, Bill & Marilynn Bayuk.
A Private Family Service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the M.O.R.E. Center Food Pantry on Greenlee Street or Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo, IL.
