He was the beloved husband of Betty (née Zeman) for nearly 74 years and a cherished father to Wayne (Jan) and Robert (Kathy). Loren was a loving grandfather to Adam (Melissa), Laura, Peyton, and Melanie, as well as a great-grandfather to Austin, Molly, and Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Cora (née Thiele) Drews.
Loren proudly served in the Army during the Korean conflict and was an active member of the American Legion Post 404 on Marco Island.
A skilled electrician, he worked in the field from 1948 until his retirement in 1991. After retiring, Loren enjoyed fishing, boating, and creating stained glass on Marco Island.
He was a longtime member of Marco Lutheran Church.
A memorial service will be scheduled for early January, 2025. Details will be provided at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Marco Lutheran Church or Vitas Hospice in his memory.
