Anthony Meilan

Tony was known to be a jokester and loved to have fun, whether that was at the supermarket, on the golf course, or traveling the world amongst friends and his beloved wife.

Tony was the beloved husband and lifetime love of Adele M. Meilan. Tony and Adele were married for 58 years.

Tony graduated from New York University with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering followed by a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering. His career spanned 35 years within the Bell System. Tony spent the majority of his career at Western Electric and Lucent Technologies at various locations within New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, and Illinois.

Tony was a loving and devoted father of two children, Anthony John Meilan and Pamela Adele Kanehann.

He took much pride and joy in his grandchildren's life and accomplishments. He was grandfather to six grandchildren, Bradley Montgomery Meilan, Julia Grace Meilan, Chase Andrew Meilan, Grace Elizabeth Kanehann, Garrett Paul Kanehann, and Brady Ryan Kanehann.

Tony spent his final years in Marco Island, Florida with his wife Adele. The couple has enjoyed 23 years traveling, golfing, dining, and socializing with this special community.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in his honor at 11am EST on June 17th, 2023 at San Marco Catholic Church, located at 851 San Marco Rd, Marco Island, FL 34145.
