Howard A. Lacey, 97 years old, of Marblehead, Massachusetts, died peacefully on December 20, 2017. Howard was born in Old Forge, NY on July 2nd 1920 to Charles H. Lacey and Ethel G. (Miller) Lacey. He was a graduate of Lynn English High and shortly after went to work for Forbes Lithograph, Chelsea, MA.
In 1942 Howard joined the U. S. Army-Air Corp as an airplane mechanic. Before going to Europe in 1943 Howard married Clara (Nappi) Lacey of Lynn, MA. Upon returning home, he and Clara moved to Marblehead, Massachusetts where they lived for sixty years raising three children.
Predeceased by his wife Clara, he leaves three children, Donna Motsis, Charles Lacey, and Judi Rewinski; grandchildren, Robin McCann, Gregg Stuart, Jill Cameron, Lauren Slaven, and Erica Whelan, six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held in the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Thursday, December 28 at 11AM. Burial with honors to follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27 from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
