Raised in Marblehead and graduated from Marblehead High School, she attended Whidden Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1968.
Gail held a career position at Whidden Memorial Hospital until 1969, then opened and was head nurse of the Cardiac Care Unit at Boston City Hospital from 1969 to 1977. She was active with the AHA, once receiving the AHA award for community service.
In 1977 she was recruited by Dr. Alexander and went to Lahey Clinic, first in Boston, then in Burlington, MA. She had a wonderful career there for 38 years in Cardiology and performing Cardiac Research. She was highly respected and devoted to all she did. She will be missed by all her friends and colleagues. Her friends would like to express their heartfelt thanks to First Light Home Care and Care Dimensions for their compassionate care at the end of her life.
According to Gail's wishes, there will be no visiting hours and her burial will be private. Her Memorial Service and Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
