Willie, a native of Lafitte, Louisiana, enlisted in the US Army at the age of 18. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Machine Gunner/Sergeant in the 1st Cavalry during the Vietnam War. He lived with his family in Marrero, Louisiana until retiring from the Shipyard Industry in 2006 and moved to Marble Falls, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Edna Maxine Nettle Danos and granddaughter Destini Danielle Danos. Willie is survived by his 3 children and 2 daughters in law, Troy & Christi, Michael & Delecia, and Malinda Danos; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan, Dominic and Monet Danos; his sister Bernice Molina; countless cousins, nieces, nephews, long-time friends and his 4-legged companion Bart-Bart.
Willie was a selfless provider, devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. A long time New Orleans Saints fan with deep religious faith and a love for gardening. He will be missed by all.
A funeral service for Willie will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 105 Farm to Market Rd 1431, Marble Falls, TX 78654. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Park Rd 4, Burnet, Texas 78611.
