Teresa Gail McDowell passed away at the age of 52 in Marble Falls, Texas on September 13, 2022. Teresa was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 12, 1969, to Douglas and Beverly McDowell. Teresa attended Whitmer High School in Toledo, Ohio before moving to Texas. She married Joseph Hauss, Sr., on July 10, 1988, in Spicewood, Texas and they had two children, Joseph David Hauss, Jr. and Samantha Lou Ross. Teresa was a loving mother and grandmother (Mimi) to four grandchildren, Landon Chase Ross, Finley Joseph Hauss, Reese Agnes Hauss and Lily Ann Ross. Teresa was always present for events for her family. She didn’t miss many opportunities to support people when they needed it. Her heart was as large as the Texas sky and her love language was gift-giving. She always had something for someone when she arrived and was willing to try to help anyone in need. When she was 17 years old, she started cleaning homes and working for her aunt and uncle who built houses in the Highland Lakes area. This strengthened her love for the job, so she decided to start a business built around her passion. Teresa built Professional Cleaning Services into an honest and dependable company with hundreds of clients in the Highland Lakes area, including being nominated multiple times as the best cleaning service in Burnet County. Teresa had a passion for plants and carried a large collection at her home. She also was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren, with a very large collection of photographs.
Teresa is survived by her son Joseph David Hauss, Jr (Bud) and wife Elizabeth Hauss, daughter Samantha Lou Ross and husband Joseph Ross; grandchildren Landon Chase Ross, Finley Joseph Hauss, Reese Agnes Hauss and Lily Ann Ross, her siblings Douglas McDowell, Jr., Kevin McDowell, Joyce McDowell, Dana Buell, and Cathy Daily; and friends Joseph David Hauss, Sr., Chad Rodgers, Nazanin Mathis, and Dawn Cromer; along with many other family and friends.
