Patsy was born on February 6, 1940 to Mamie Inez Lofton Holt and John Cornelius (JC) Holt in Newton, Texas. She grew up in Newton and moved to Houston in her late childhood. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston in 1957. In the same year, she married Cecil E Allee Sr. on March 9, 1957 and together they had four children.
In 1970 the family moved to their 2-bedroom lake house in Granite Shoals and all of the children attended and graduated from Marble Falls High School. Patsy worked and cared for her four children, while Cecil commuted to Houston 4 days a week to work and returned home the remaining 3 days of the week. Patsy worked for several different companies throughout Marble Falls in her career, including Burnham Brother’s Catalog Store, Highland Lakes Quality Casting, Gould Electronics, and Lockhead Martin. She ended her career at Pedernales Electric Co-op where she retired in 2008. Patsy was a strong woman, working and caring for her four children.
Patsy loved spending time with her family. The biggest smiles were always on her face when she was surrounded by her grandchildren. She loved to sing nursery rhymes to them, and some grandchildren appreciated it more than others. Family time was spent playing dominoes and cards where she was known to sneak a card or domino for safe keeping when she needed it and even playing out of turn when no one was watching. She giggled when caught and used her age as her excuse.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, her older brother Don Holt, younger sister Joyce Galloway and her beloved grandson, Travis Allee and great grandson James Allen Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Cecil Allee Sr, daughter Cindy (Buddy) Woolls of Hondo, Son Eddy (Linda) Allee, daughter Tammy Allee and daughter Patti (David) Mezger all of Marble Falls.
Her grandchildren include Mary Beth (Jacob) Armstrong of Pearland, Matt (Corin) Woolls of San Antonio, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Goff, Grady (Allison Bowman) all of Hondo, Sarah Allee of Rochester, New York, Rachel Allee, Jonathan (Bailey) Allee, Chase Brooks (Amanda Gattis) of Marble Falls, Cole (Ragan) Gatewood of New Braunfels, Ben (Taylor) Mezger of Waco, and Alan Mezger of Marble Falls. She also has 14 beloved great grandchildren and one on the way, all of which she loved dearly.
The family would like to give thanks to her caregivers and the nurses at New Century Hospice for their love and care during her final weeks of life, all of which made a huge impact. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Phoenix Center in Marble Falls, an organization that helps emotionally traumatized children and youth.
