A Mamá Juanita le encantaba cocinar, con su sazón tan exquisita. Le encantaban las plantas y flores en su casa, las rosas eran de sus favoritas. Siempre contaba que los dulces le gustaban mucho desde que era pequeñita, lo cual lo heredó de su papá. En los últimos años, por las tardes, seguro se le encontraba sentada en el patio. Al menos que hubiese un juego de futbol soccer o futbol americano en la programación; era aficionada de los equipos Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, Club America y la Selección Mexicana de fútbol. A Mamá Juanita muchos la van a extrañar, entre ellos sus once hijos, treinta y siete nietos, cuarenta y cuatro bisnietos, y dos tataranietos. Así como sus hermanos, muchos sobrinos, primos y amigos. Mamá Juanita fue una madre increíble y una abuelita cariñosa, una persona bromista y valiente. ¡Tantos momentos y recuerdos deja que seguramente hay muchas historias que se podrán contar sobre Mamá Juanita por muchos años!
Mamá Juanita regreso a la casa del Padre el 6 de mayo del 2022. Un rosario por su eterno descanso se ofrecerá el miércoles, 11 de mayo a las 7:00pm en la funeraria Clements-Wilcox en Marble Falls, TX. La misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará el jueves, 12 de mayo a las 10:00am en la parroquia de San Juan el Evangelista, oficiada por el Padre Tom Chamberlain. Posteriormente se le llevará a su lugar de reposo en Tobey Cemetery en Marble Falls.

Juana “Mamá Juanita” De La Hoya, 83, of Marble Falls, returned home to the Father on Friday May 6th. She was born on August 24th, 1938, in Durango, Mexico to Trinidad Solórzano and Natividad Montenegro.
Mamá Juanita married the love of her life Francisco De La Hoya on March 4, 1954, in Francisco I. Madero, Durango, Mexico. She enjoyed cooking for her family, tending to her plants, watching football and soccer games. Her favorite teams were Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, Club America and the Mexican National soccer teams. In her later years she would spend her evenings sitting in her favorite chair out on the patio visiting and joking with any of her children or grandchildren that happened to stop by to say “hello” and see what she had made for dinner.
Mamá Juanita is survived by her eleven children: Irma (Jacobo) Arreguin, Héctor (Julia†) De La Hoya, Miguel Ángel (Mayela) De La Hoya, Ismael (Susy) De La Hoya, Francisco (Dotti) De La Hoya, Socorro (Alfonso) Silva, Carmelita (Jesús) Silva, Fermín (Gaby) De La Hoya, Hermilo De La Hoya, Yolanda (Alfredo) Mata, José M. (Alma) De La Hoya. Her siblings: Francisco Solorzano, Juan M. Solorzano, Laura Castañeda, Eloy Solorzano. Thirty-seven grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and close friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Francisco De La Hoya and her brother Jeronimo Solorzano.
A rosary for her soul will be prayed Wednesday May 11th at 7:00pm at Clements- Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. A funeral mass will take place Thursday May 12th at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Marble Falls. Officiating will be Fr. Tom Chamberlain; internment will follow at Tobey Cemetery in Marble Falls.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls.
