Jason Travis Campbell was born in Austin, TX on July 24, 1975 to Karen and Jay Campbell. Travis grew up in Georgetown, and graduated from the University of Texas with a double major in Spanish and Sociology. Travis married his best friend, Karen Bohannon on May 31, 2001. Together, they have four amazing boys, Jayson, Kaiden, Lane and Liam. Faith, family, and friends were the true cornerstones of Travis’ life. He embodied the phrase, “Love God, Love People.” He loved to help his sons grow into Godly young men. He coached their soccer teams, played video games, taught, and mentored them throughout life’s seasons. Travis strove to make every act about caring for his family and every person he interacted with.
Travis spent over a decade working for VisionWeb, where he was a dedicated employee and spent time making his coworkers part of his family. While Travis enjoyed computer programming and valued the people he worked with, his true heart was in his job as a Pastor. He was the Youth Pastor at First Assembly of God in Marble Falls, Texas for many years where he made a lasting impact on students' lives. Travis then became Pastor at Uplift Church in Llano, TX in 2016. He immediately started developing deep friendships and building a community in the Kingdom of Christ. Travis was always available to help anyone who needed it, including those who were in the process of helping him. He was a faithful prayer warrior who continued to intercede for others until his final day on this side of Heaven. He was a great man of love, integrity, strength, and generosity. Travis will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Karen Campbell. He is survived by wife of 20 years, Karen, children: Jayson (18), Kaiden (16), Lane (9), and Liam (9); father, Jay (wife Sandy); siblings Jeremy Campbell (wife Linda) and Lindsay Pierce (husband Jack; nephew: Jaxon and niece: Halli); mother-in-law, Lana Bohannon; sister-in-laws, Kristin Renner (husband Adam) and Jennifer Snyder (husband Jeremy; niece Bridget), extended family and countless friends.
