Carroll Ray “Butch” Crownover, age 73, of Marble Falls passed away December 29, 2022 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Butch grew up on ranches around Marble Falls, where he developed a love for animals and the outdoors. He was a 1968 graduate of Marble Falls High School, and served in the Army in Vietnam from 1970-1971.
He had a long career in the granite industry in Marble Falls, interrupted by a brief stint in the oil field in the late 1970s. After 20 plus years at Texas Granite, later Cold Spring Granite Corporation, he returned to ranching and the outdoor life he loved.
He is survived by son Laine, and wife Karrie, grandchildren Bo and Tripp Crownover, sister Danielle Meredith, and nephews Lonnie and Leonard Meredith and their families, former wife Patsy Waxler, along with numerous cousins and countless friends.
Visitation will be held Monday January 9, 2022, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, with the funeral service directly after.
His family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers be sent to Lake Country Church of Christ and the Marble Falls Area EMS
