Vickie (Baker) Carr

Vickie attended Mt. Gilead public schools, graduating in 1970. Shortly after graduating high school Vickie met her future husband, Danny Carr. Danny and Vickie moved for a short time to Austin, Texas, where they had their only son, Ryan. Shortly after Ryan’s birth, the family moved and settled in Mansfield. Vickie worked for over 25 years as an administrative assistant for Kelly’s Services and Chuck Warner and Associates. In her later years Vickie, worked as a server at The Waterford in Mansfield, Ohio, where she met many friends who became like family. Vickie’s life was devoted to her son and eventually her grandchildren. She was an adoring mother and grandmother whose greatest delight was spending time with her family.

Vickie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Danny, their son, Ryan (Nicole) Carr, beloved grandchildren, Kaelyn, Benjamin, and Ellie Carr, and 5 sisters who she considered her best friends, Shirly Sipe, Katie Bedson, Linda Zeiger, Marilyn Ogdon, and Barb Tobin, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Vickie, was preceded in death by her brother Malcom Baker.

A time for family and friends to gather to share memories of Vickie will be held at Crossroads Church Park Ave Campus at 1188 Park Ave. West in Mansfield, on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1pm.
