Tom enjoyed working on anything mechanical. He was very passionate about working on old vehicles, especially tires and finding just the right size and style - the bigger the better. Every vehicle he owned had to be painted flat black. Tom could often be found cruising on Park Avenue. He took pride in maintaining his property when it came to things such as snowplowing and mowing. He was also an excellent checker player. Tom fostered countless children during his 20 years as a foster parent. He enjoyed building cars and running them in demolition derby's, and driving his Ram Charger's through the mud bogs. He also enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events. Tom always lived in the moment and showed his love through his actions, not his words.
Tom is survived by his fiance, Laurie Blake; his children, Jason (Beth) Leppo, James Leppo, and Mike "Mick" (Shannon) Slone; four grandchildren, Noah Leppo, Austin Palmer, Brandon and Emily Slone; and one special sister-in-law, Sharon Mills.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and one very special grandfather and grandmother.
There will be no services held at this time. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
