Rose Marie Lawson

Rose was raised in Clarkston, Michigan and graduated in 1958. She later moved to Mansfield, Ohio when she married her husband, William Lawson, whom she married on June 28, 1958 at Dixie Baptist Church. Rose worked as a clerk for Rable Screw Machine and previously worked at Jumbo Trucking and was a part-time caregiver. She enjoyed making crafts and was a member of many organizations and clubs such as, Mother’s Club, Parent-Teacher Association, TOPS, YAH Community Bible, UAW Retirees and was a scout leader.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Janet (James) Laney of Arp, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda Rader of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, William Lawson; brothers, Robert Rader, Leo Rader and James Rader; and sister, Lucy McCain.

There will be visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902. A graveside service will be held at Mansfield Cemetery beginning at 2:00 p.m.
