Robert Earhart, 67, of Howard, died early Thursday morning, February 22, 2007 at Brooksville Regional Hospital in Florida. Born December 24, 1938, in Mansfield, he was the son of Thomas Scott and Kathleen Wybrew Earhart. He retired from Frigidaire Corp., where he worked as a commercial artist. Robert was a member of Grace Church of Mt. Vernon and enjoyed drawing, golf, snow and water skiing and watching sports. One of his favorite pastimes was watching his grandchildren play sports. A member of the Air National Guard, he was called to active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley K. Rodgers Earhart; two sons, Robert Kathryn Earhart and Earick Brenda Earhart, all of Bellville; daughter, Kelly Curt Stoltzfus of Denver, PA; eleven grandchildren, Katelyn, Lauren, Hannah, Benjamin, Cody, Clayton, Wyatt, Shane, Cade, Katrelle and Koen; three sisters, Shirley Schoenman of Mansfield, Mary Lou Thompson of Springhill, FL and Jean Cotter of Mansfield; and a brother, William Earhart of Galion. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Richard, and four brothers, Scott, Jim, Jack, and Charles.
Friends may call Sunday, February 25 from 2-5 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home officiated by Rev. Roger Tickle with Robert Doehr assisting. Military graveside services conducted by Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
