Robert Richard Bilger

Robert Richard Bilger, 61, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away at 7:13 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio, on May 31, 1958, to Raymond Henry Jr. and Ruth (Ellen) Bilger.

Robert was a devoted Christian and was saved and baptized at People's Baptist Church. He had previously worked for Continental Hose for 30 years. He had a passion and love for classic cars. Robert had a big heart for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren as they made memories that would last a lifetime. Robert married the love of his life, Katherine Louise Sugden, on September 11, 1993.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Katherine; three children, Amber (Andy) Pranger, Richard Eugene Sugden Sr. and Tiffany Bilger; grandchildren, AJ Pranger, Skye Angel Pranger, Jaxson Bilger, Starr Bilger, Richard Jr., Joslyn, Gauge, Landon and Anthony Sugden and Brock Bilger; nephews, Cris and Raymond Bilger; brothers and sisters, Larry Pritchard, Rick (Gayle) Bilger, Randy Bilger, James Bilger, Roy (Brenda) Bilger and Jeff (Cindy) Bilger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Debra Kay and Nancy Jo.

Private services will be held for the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial in the Oceola Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help aide in covering the funeral costs. The Wappner Cremation Center is honored to have served the family.
