Robert V. Bianchi, 65, of Mansfield, died Wednesday morning, April 12, 2006 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Born October 15, 1940 in Galion, he was the son of Robert and Carol Pifher Bianchi. He graduated from Galion High School and attended the Ohio State University. Mr. Bianchi was employed at North Electric, ITT, and PECO II for many years. He also owned a lawn care business in the 1990's. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Mr. Bianchi enjoyed landscaping, home improvement projects, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sue Bianchi; children, Robert Tessa Bianchi of Mansfield, Stephanie Jake Jakubick of Lexington, and Steven Bianchi of Columbus; one granddaughter, Jaclyn Rose Jakubick; one sister, Nancy C.D. West of Lubbock, Texas; and two nephews Allen Edie West of Celina, Texas, and Mark Angela West of Lubbock, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Bianchi in 1981, and his father, Robert Bianchi in 2001.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. There will be private services held for the family. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
