Pearl V. Rogers, 78, of Mansfield, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born December 23, 1932 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Peter and Bertha Haller Kindinger. She was a 1950 graduate from Mansfield Senior High School and worked as a bookkeeper for Municipal Contractor Supply for 25 years and Springfield Mold and Die where she retired from in 2009. Pearl loved the Lord with all her heart and was a lifetime member of First Alliance Church. She loved sports, particularly Ohio State, the Browns, the Indians, and the Cavs. In her spare time Pearl loved to do crossword puzzles and number puzzles. A generous woman with a great personality, Pearl's family was the most important thing to her. She was "the best mom" always being there for her son and daughter.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Joan Gene New; grandchildren, Matt Rogers, Brittany Rogers, Brooke Rogers, Glen Rogers, Mikinzey Rogers, and Emily New; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Rogers; son, Ed Rogers; four sisters Eleanor Pearce, Lucille Rudrick, Virginia Zehner, and Doris Heffelfinger, and five brothers Ralph, Edward, Raymond, Wilbur, and Paul Kindinger.
Friends may call Friday, February 11, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Jim Cheatham, Senior-Care Pastor at First Alliance Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
