Pauline Hunt, 72, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 5, 2011 at Wooster Sub Acute in Wooster, Ohio. Born June 3, 1939 in West Liberty, Kentucky, she was one of eleven children born to the late McKinley and Eva (Caskey) Callahan.
Pauline was a longtime area resident, residing in Hayesville, Mansfield and Ashland. On December 22, 1955 she married Luther Hunt and became a true country woman and homemaker. Pauline was a loving and devoted wife and mother, an amazing cook, and enjoyed working around her home. She was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Pauline worked at Dairy Land for 21 years while caring for her home and family.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Luther; children, Arlie Hunt, Dorothy Jean Hunt, Carolyn (Larry) Sapp, Danny Hunt and Michael Hunt; grandchildren, Shauna, Tabbatha, Kenneth, Kayla, Lisa and Melinda; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Bryce, Tyler and Devon; brothers, David Lee Callahan and Byron Callahan; sister, Molly Sue (Jack) Caskey; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, McKinley Hunt; grandsons, Christopher Hunt, Joshua Sapp; granddaughter, LaDawn Sapp; and seven brothers and sisters.
Friends and family may visit from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett officiating. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Perry Cemetery, Blairs Mill, Kentucky.
