Patricia "Pat" J. Mabee

Patricia "Pat" J. Mabee, 73, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at home surrounded by family after a year long battle with cancer. Born on May 7, 1944 to Frank and Mary Schillinger. She was a 1962 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School.

She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Jerry; a daughter, Joan and Mike Samsel of Olmstead Township. Ohio; a son, John and Grace Mabee of Lucas, Ohio; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Garrett Mabee; her twin sister, Polly Morrow; a brother, Jeff Schillinger of Mansfield; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat found her greatest joy in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren, followed by her flowers, her quilts and her knitting. She chose to be a stay at home mom while her children were younger and later spent 25 years working along side her husband and son in the family business, Quality Saw and Tool. Retiring in 2013 to winters in Florida and her special places on the beach.

The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the OhioHealth Cancer Care for their kind and compassionate care over the past year.

Private graveside services will be observed with a Celebration of Life held at a later date. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family of Pat Mabee.
