Michelle was born in Medina, Ohio on February 15, 1975 to William Plues and Linda (Thayer) Leisure. Michelle grew up with her two brothers, Bill and Frank. She was an honors graduate of Mapleton High School in the Class of 1993 where she ran track and played softball. She met David in 1992, and the two married in 1994. David was the love of her life and her son, Garett was her whole world. Michelle spent many years running the Western Shop, “The Big Red Boot” of which she was very proud of. She was employed for Ohio Valley Manufacturing for several years and then worked for Brennstuhl Construction. She had a deep love and compassion for her fur babies and was a fabulous dog mom. She enjoyed craft shows, loved the outdoors and hiking, cherished time spent on the boat, and had a passion for shoes and purses.
She leaves to cherish many fond and wonderful memories her husband, David Dudley; her son, Garett Dudley; her parents, Linda Leisure and Bill (Liza) Plues; her siblings, Bill (Kim) Plues, and Frank Plues; her nieces and nephews, Emily, Lynsey, Maci, Kylie, Dylan, Alex, Landon, and Cooper; and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and her sister-in-law, Tammy Dudley.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield, 98 S. Diamond Street. Memorial services will follow beginning at 5:00 pm. Michelle gave in death as she gave in life; Michelle was an organ and tissue donor. Michelle’s final act of kindness was to give someone the gift of sight.
