Luke Randall Simmons, 26, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born November 22, 1990 in Mansfield, he was the son of James and Tammy (Hammond) Simmons.
Luke attended Mansfield Senior High and had worked in the maintenance field. He had just recently moved back to the area from Kentucky. A compassionate and fun loving guy with an amazing sense of humor, Luke loved making others laugh. He enjoyed playing billiards, which he was very good at, fishing, golfing, using his imaginative mind drawing creative pictures, as well as enjoying time with his dearly beloved children, and being with friends.
He is survived by a daughter, Karsyn Simmons; two sons, Logan Simmons and Mason Moss; his parents, James "Randy" and Tammy Simmons of Mansfield; two brothers, James Simmons and Zac Simmons both of Mansfield; a sister, Haley Hammond of Mansfield; grandmothers, Mary Carroll and Noreen Hammond both of Mansfield; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews; and good friends, Wesley Lambert and Dalton Lykins as well as many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Glen Hammond and Robert Simmons.
Friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Springmill-Lexington Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Thursday.
