Jean Wright

Jean Wright, 63, of Mansfield, OH, born February 19, 1957, passed away June 25, 2020. She loved to cook and bake; she was well known for her apple walnut cakes, and chicken & dumplings. Jean also liked fishing, as well as arts and crafts. She was a nurse's aide for over 18 years. Jean loved everyone she came in contact with.

She is survived by three children: Jennifer (Brian) Saylor of Bucyrus, OH, Janetta Hines and boyfriend Richard of Mansfield, and Ronald (Sherry) Shirkey of Mansfield. Also surviving are 5 siblings: Lorina (John) Schmelzer of Lancaster, OH, Sheri (Jerry) Bowling of Elizabethton, TN, Jeff (Dee) Wright of Lancaster, Sonny and (Carol) Wright of Mansfield, Anita Rose of Canada. She has 5 grandchildren: Autumn Shirkey, Bethany Shirkey, Crieighton Shirkey, Matthew Hines, and Janell Hines, all of Mansfield.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Loretta & Jefferson Wright, a daughter, Tina Wright, a brother, Robert Wright; seven grand-babies: Michael Saylor, Faith Saylor, William Saylor, Abigail Saylor, Luke Saylor, Holly Saylor, and Jacob Saylor; and her special dog, Rocky.

Funeral services will be held on July 11th, at noon, at Apostolic Tabernacle, 301 2nd Ave, Galion, OH 44833, with Janetta Hines officiating the service.

We three children would like to thank all of you for your love and prayers during this difficult time. We also extend our thanks to Crystal Care Nursing Home and to North Central Ohio Hospice for the care and love they gave to our mother, also to Wappner Funeral Directors for their service, and to Apostolic Tabernacle for allowing us to have the service at the church.
