Born on May 28, 1938 in Franzfeld, Yugoslavia, she and her family migrated to America in 1952. They came with sponsorship of one of her great uncles, James Stier, who had a shoe store on North Main Street, Mansfield in the last century (1910-1920).
Erna became an accountant after high school. She worked for the Ohio Brass Company for 37 years. She met her husband in 1956 and they were married in 1957. They are members of Mansfield 1st Presbyterian Church. Erna and Frank had a marriage made in Heaven for 67 years. They had two daughters, Katharina and Anna.
Erna was a loving, friendly angel and will be terribly missed by many people.
She leaves behind a grieving husband, Frank Becker and two daughters.
A short gathering from 2:00-4:00 pm will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Mansfield 1st Presbyterian Church, 399 S. Trimble Road. In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to Southern Care Hospice, 775 Lexington Ave., Mansfield, OH 44907.
