Bonnie Sue Baker, 57, of Mansfield, died September 8, 2014. Born October 9, 1956 in Lodi, she was the daughter of Eugene T. Baker and Dorothy J. (Bartram) O'Higgins. Always happy and smiling, Bonnie was a great friend and was always concerned for others. Forever a fan of jewelry and sparkly things, she loved going shopping, eating out at restaurants, listening to country music, and talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers. Flip flops and funky socks were just a couple of her favorite things. She was happily employed with Richland Newhope from 1977 to her retirement in 2012.
Surviving are her cat, Paisley: special friends, Chris Orr and Connie Orr; caregivers, Micki's Creative Options Staff who provided her excellent care and loved her so much; and her nurses, Pam Nelson and Carla Rice; mother, Dorothy O'Higgins; sisters, Sandy Bridenthal, Debra Hammond, and Nancy Jo Winkler; and brothers, Keith and Brett Baker.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father.
A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, conducted by Pastor Nate Meiers. Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior, from 10-11 a.m.. Burial will take place in Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville, Ohio on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 11:30a.m.
In honor of Bonnie, it is requested that everyone wear something purple in her memory.
