Betty Lou Clayton, 79, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born April 28, 1939 in Rocky Grove, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Burt and Loraine (Haylet) Reisinger.
A homemaker, Betty was always helping others and never met a person she didn't consider a friend. She had worked for All God's Children at their monthly meals for people in need as well as the community meals at her church. Betty loved to shop and had a big heart for children. Betty was very crafty and along with her husband, Ron, they made crafts from wood ~ he would cut and she would paint them. She liked to travel and went to Myrtle Beach every year for 20 years with her friends and also lived in south Texas for around five years.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Clayton; her children, Mark and Tee Clayton of Galion and Rhonda and Chuck Amato of Alto, Georgia; her grandchildren, Dr. Elizabeth Amato and Alex Amato both of Gastonia, North Carolina; her sister, Judy Boitnott; and her close friends, Peg Tinkman and Kay Foltz.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie Reisinger and Ron Reisinger.
There will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society.
