Growing up with eight siblings, Belva became a wonderful cook, studying at the side of her mother. She especially enjoyed making noodles and various types of bread. Belva loved to laugh and have fun and help everyone around her to have a good time. She was an area homemaker her entire life, but also worked for a time at Topper's Supper Club and Stewart's Root Beer. She was married to Lawrence Cline for 42 years, until his death in 1982.
Belva loved music and played the drums, banjo, harmonica and guitar. She was a member of Mansfield Grace Temple and enjoyed sharing her musical talents with her church family and friends.
She is survived by four children, Gerald (Ruth) Cline of Mansfield, Brenda (Ray) Miller of Knoxville, TN, Bernard (Faye) Cline of Mission, TX, Loretta Cline of Bellville, OH; a daughter-in-law, Mary Cline of Savannah, OH; twenty grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a family member friend, Beverly Keller of Bellville, OH; and her church family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Belva was preceded in death by a son, Vernon Cline; infant daughter, Freda Mae Cline; a great-grandson; five sisters; and three brothers.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will proceed to Mansfield Cemetery where Belva will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband. Memorial contributions may be made to Mansfield Grace Temple.
