Hedwig M. Forsyth was born January 16, 1934, in Hagen-Hohenlimburg, Germany and immigrated to the US at the age of 20. She resided with her aunt and uncle in Irvington, NJ, prior to her marriage to Richard on August 31, 1957. Heddy became an American citizen in the mid 1960s, one of her proudest moments. She spent her early years raising three daughters. Summer vacations were spent traveling in the family wagon with the kids and the family pets. Heddy loved animals of all kinds and even raised several litters of abandoned baby rabbits. Home always included dogs, cats and rabbits. She had many friends, but her pride and joy were her granddaughter Jen (Kotza) Woodman and great-grandson Reiley. Heddy is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, Richard, residing in Manchester, NJ, and daughters Bernice Kotza (Michael), Susan Swanson, Jennifer Stengel (Michael) and Jen’s fiancée, Tim Tulk.
