Mary Elizabeth Cloutier, 81, of Hooksett, passed away peacefully in Merrimack on Sunday August 22, 2021. Born on April 19, 1940 in Goffstown NH, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Bernice M. (Farley) Hunkins.
Mary was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Hooksett, where she and her husband were heavily involved, and she sang in the church choir. She worked at Kid Block for several years where she spent her time caring for children. She loved spending time with friends and family, and traveling the world with her husband. She enjoyed taking painting classes, exercising at Planet Fitness, and volunteering with numerous charities.
She is survived by her nephew Jason Sweet and his wife Catherine and their children Bruno and Roxy Sweet; niece Tracey Crane and her wife Liz McMillen; brother William Hunkins; sister Eileen Hunkins, Sheila Wright; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years Philip Cloutier; brother John Hunkins; sisters Dorothy “Dottie” Healy, Phyllis Thayer, Jackie Crane, Claire Casey, and Judy Boulanger.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2021 from 3pm to 7pm at McHugh Funeral Home located at 283 Hanover St, Manchester NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 2, 2021 at 11am at Holy Rosary Church located at 21 Main St, Hooksett NH, with a burial immediately following.
