Laura A. (Godbout) Morin, 101, died May 26, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Merrimack. She was born in Bedford on April 18, 1910, the daughter of William and Annie (Maillete) Godbout and had lived most of her life in Bedford-Manchester area prior to moving to Merrimack four years ago.
She was a volunteer at a nursing home, the Soup Kitchen and she had knitted many items for the homeless. Her passions in life were books, flowers and playing cards.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Arthur Morin in 1996 and her grandson Pierre Fortier in 1994.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine and her husband Andre Fortier, Louise and her husband Ray Bernier and Frances and her husband Lionel Pinard; a son, Arthur Morin; 18 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 11th at 10 AM in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Memorial donations may be made to Home Health & hospice Care, 7E Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054 or the Way Home, 214 Spruce St., Manchester, NH 03103.
