Christine “Dee” (Lappas) Temple, 45, of Hudson passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Manchester on October 7, 1968, the daughter of Roland and Sandra (Schrepfer) Lappas.
Dee was raised in Manchester and was a graduate of West High School. She attended the University of Phoenix and then returned to the area where she entered the healthcare field. She was employed at Lawrence General Hospital and then entered training with American Medical Response and received her status as an EMT. She has been in ill health for the past few years.
A gifted athlete, she played softball into her adulthood. Dee is fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to quickly form friendships with those she met. She loved camping, fishing and snowmobiling but most of all she adored her children Megan and Nate.
In addition to her parents of Manchester, she is survived by a daughter, Megan Temple; a son, Nathan Temple; her former spouse, Jeffrey Temple; a brother John Lappas and his wife Debra; a niece Lauren Lappas; a nephew Cody Lappas, all of Manchester; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
A calling hour was held on Thursday afternoon from 4 pm to 5 pm in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A funeral ceremony followed at 5PM in the funeral home. The Rev. Douglas Rickard officiated. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Horizons for NH Inc, 199 Manchester St., PO Box 691, Manchester NH 03105. `
