Alma R. Gendron, 89, of Manchester, died October 29, 2016 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a short illness. She was born in Manchester on August 9, 1927 the daughter of Edmond and Regina (Bilodeau) Vincent and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was educated in the local system and was a graduate of Manchester High School West.
She was employed for many years as an assembler at Allen Bradley Electronics. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Order of the Purple Heart and the DAV Ladies Auxiliary. Alma enjoyed crafts especially scrapbooking and loved getting together with her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband Maurice Gendron in 1976 and by her sons Ronald Gendron and Thomas Gendron and by her daughter Judith Gendron.
Members of her family include her daughter Debra Gendron-Neveu and her husband Richard of Montreal, her three grandchildren Jason Neveu, Mellisa Neveu and Melanie Neveu, seven great-garndchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday November 2 from 4 to 6 pm at the McHugh Funeral home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday November 3 at 11 am in St. Raphael Church 103 Walker St. Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
