I know it's a year late..I just found out..this man was my battle buddy when we deployed together. I'm sorry for the loss for the Duval family. This man was and forever will be my battle buddy..rest in peace bud.

Although I never met Travis, I stumbled on this tribute site when I saw his photograph.  I am middle-aged, and its gut wrenching to see such a bright star go out of our sight seemingly prematurely.  I say this because that life lives on, but for those of us here, the grieving and coping is difficult.  His photo conveys an accomplished and generous individual, bravely serving our country.

I firmly believe in quality, not quantity, and the quality of the stories conveys the measure of this young individual.  Godspeed, Travis, and thank you for your service.

To the Family-
My name is Joe Bajak and I served with you Husband,Son,Father, and  Friend in Colorado. He was a bright soul , shy but always friendly. My memory of Travis is we had a mobile game we played together. We would sit at work either playing it or talking about it. Although my time serving with your loved one was not very long I appreciated all his conversations along side his hard work. He was always a team player.  My condolences  go out to each and every one one you. 

Travis was my stepson, but always loved him & brothers as my own. My favorite memory is when he was 10 years old. After being at a rock and gemstone museum with his grandparents, upon arriving home he came to me in the kitchen to show me all rocks he had gotten that day.  There was probably 20 plus rocks and stones in a little sack, that he dumped on the counter. He went thru them all saying what each was called and what properties they held. The last rock was a bright green, my favorite color, he holds it up and says it's the most important.  I asked why, he stated that he knew it was my fav color and it was called a money stone. If I keep with me I will always have money.  That rock is still in my wallet, and there is always at least a penny in there with it.  As he got older he would ask if I still had it, and I proudly pull it out to show him.  Love you always kiddo 

My favorite memories of Travis are the time he spent with us as a young boy hanging out with my son Stephen. He was always smiles and laughter even the time his mom accidentally took a wrong turn coming back from California and almost made it all the way to Tijuana with all four boys before she realized it! Or as a teenager hanging out at my house with the pool and making Mac and cheese. Travis and Stephen would go golfing in the middle of the day in 110 degree heat. We love you Travis!

As Travis’s mom, the gift of life is my greatest memory.  Then 20+ years at home. 
Active, artistic, athletic, self taught at piano, gamer, and many more.   He loved the horses, especially Billy and Ginger, a natural at it.  Jump on and ride.  The quads, dirt bikes, bicycles, skateboards, you name it.  The family and neighbors were all over  enjoying. 
The loved playing sports.  Had an arm on him and could run for miles.
As a young man I was Very proud he joined the Army.  Proud of all his accomplishments.
Proud of everything he tried.
