Sondra (Sandy) D. Weiss, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on March 4, 1933, in Newark, New Jersey, Sandy lived a full and vibrant life in Newark, West Orange, Livingston, and Monroe.
Sandy earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Montclair State University, dedicating her life to her family and the betterment of her community. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Betty and Arthur Dobowitz, her Aunt, Fannie Rubin and her daughter, Bernice.
Sandy is survived by her devoted daughters, Janice and Robyn. Janice, along with her husband Gary, blessed Sandy with three wonderful grandsons: Adam, Buddy, and Andrew, along with Buddy’s wife Becca, and Adam’s fiancée Gia. Robyn, together with her husband David, brought joy to Sandy’s life with their son Michael.
Sandy’s greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished deeply. Her legacy of love, wisdom, and kindness will continue to live on through them.
