Schneider, Sidney A. of Manalapan, NJ, 103 died Friday at his residence.Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided there for 30 years then moving to Irvington, NJ and Union, NJ before settling in Manalapan in 1980.He was a Mill Representative in the Carpet Industry for over 45 years.
He was active in the Knights of Pythias and was the oldest member in North America and was given the “The Order of the Silver Spur” in 2010. He was also a volunteer at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ and a Past President of the Carpet Club of New Jersey and a Past Board Member, editor and contributing writer for “The Guardian Newsletter” of the Covered Bridge Condominium Association
He was pre-deceased by his Beloved wife: Anita in 2003 and his dear brother: Aaron in 1973.He is survived by his devoted children: Jules of Bloomingdale, NJ and David and his wife Carolyn of Basking Ridge, NJ. He is also survived by four loving grandchildren, seven adored great grandchildren and one cherished great great grandchild. Sid was beloved by his legion of family, friends and community and his character, wisdom, dignity and sense of humor will live on in all of us.Services will be at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ on Sunday June 28, 2015 at 10:00 am.
