I was sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I remember decades ago when we were all so much younger the fun times at the shore, Mantoloking and Asbury Park. I have fond memories of him in his convertible , always having jokes to tell. Rest In Peace .

Paul Gillespie was a witty, very intelligent character. We had so much fun and so many adventures.
He did the NY Times crossword in ink and we shared a love of obscure trivia.

If Paul and I had lunch at the same time we would talk about what we had brought from home.  He would delight me with the latest tales of what John had made and with which spices.  We both enjoyed our food on the spicy side, and we each carried  a bottle of hot sauce in our lunch box.  

He shared a video with me  of his last flight in the Air Force from an air show.  He was thrilled that someone had sent the video to him because he didn’t know it existed.  

I will miss Paul immensely.  My most sincere condolences go to his sons, daughter in law, granddaughter and his brothers and roommate, John.

I was so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. He was a talented individual who served his country bravely in combat, and could always make people laugh with a good story. He will be missed.

We are very sad to hear of Paul's passing. We have many fond memories of Paul. Especially when Paul rented a house in Mantoloking Shores that came with a hot tub. We spent fun times with him, his mom, Essie and John A. Condolences to the Gillespie family.

My condolences to the family. Paul was a great person to work with. He was always laughing. We be talking our Spanish together and he be talking about his days in the Air Force. When his grandchild was born, he was so proud, showing the pictures. I am going to miss him a lot. Until we meet again, my friend. 😢

Honors: Paul Michael Gillespie, son of Richard E. Gillespie, followed in his father’s footsteps, serving in the US Air Force. Paul Michael Gillespie served a total of 9 years in the Air Force. While in the force he attended 5 ½ weeks of Academy of military science, Paul continued onto 49 weeks of undergraduate pilot training. He graduated as a pilot of the KC135 (tanker refueling plane). Paul M Gillespie was promoted to captain pilot of KC135 in November 1985. Paul served active duty in Operation Desert Storm for six months and was stationed in Reykjavik, Iceland. He was awarded with an Air Force Training Ribbon and an Air Force Longevity Service Award. Paul was also honored with a National Defense Service Award along with a Combat Readiness Medal.

Paul was an amazing friend and a brother to me. He always knew exactly what to say to brighten up my day and put a smile on my face. Paul was a one of a kind and a hardworking man. Paul will always be a brother to me and family. I love you very much, buddy.

Paul was always making me laugh with jokes but when you needed him to, he could be serious and there to listen. I will truly miss him and work won't be the same without him. He will forever be a part of our Lowe's family. I will miss you, my friend, and cherish all our texts and your picture. Till we meet again, rest in peace. 💖
