Born in Brooklyn, she resided in Morganville and Matawan before settling in Monroe Township in 1996.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Burton in January.
Surviving are her children: Dr. Stephen Silverstein and his wife Donna, Lawrence Silverstein and his wife Eileen, and Nancy Snow and her husband Timothy; and 8 grandchildren. Joan was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
