Henry George Haimowitz, age 91, of Englishtown, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born on March 26, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York to Samuel and Anna Haimowitz. He resided in Sheepshead Bay before settling in Englishtown over 30 years ago.
Prior to retiring at the age of 86, he worked as a Business Administrator at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City.
Henry is survived by his son Ira Haimowitz and his wife Marci; son Steven Haimowitz and his husband Danny Carragher; granddaughter Rachel; grandson Matthew (Danielle); grandson Ross (Ellie); grandson Sean; grandson Brian; grandson Connor; and grandson Cooper.
Mr. Haimowitz was preceded in death by his loving wife Miriam Haimowitz of 66 years in May 2020 and his brother Sidney Haimowitz in 2022.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095 under the direction of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels immediately followed by a burial.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Ira and Marci Haimowitz on Monday, March 6th through Thursday, March 9th. Shiva Minyan will be held at 7:00 PM
