He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Kathleen, his loving children; Robert Jr. and his wife Jessica, James, Kelly Broderick and Kristi Thompson. Bob was a cherished and devoted Pop-Pop to his eight grandchildren; Lorraine, Lucy, Alice, Makena, Victoria, Grant, Amanda and Alyssa. His nine brothers and sisters and his many nieces and nephews also survive him. Bob was predeceased by his sister Helen Parker and his son-in-law Edward Broderick.
Bob met his wife Kathleen more than 50 years ago, and they rarely spent a day apart. He sang at The Playhouse in Mystic Islands and won medals for weightlifting in his youth. A true “Piney,” Bob loved being in nature and spending summer afternoons at cedar streams in the Pine Barrens. He enjoyed watching Westerns and cowboy movies, as well as Philadelphia sports teams – especially the Eagles.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Visits from family and friends brought him immense joy and he had a true gift for bringing smiles to everyone in his presence. He never missed an opportunity to express his love for his family and friends. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
