Robert “Larry” Cox, 75 of Barnegat, NJ, formerly of Trenton, NJ passed away on May 12, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Surviving Larry are is loving wife of 48 years, Susan, and his two children Kimberly (Jason) and Bobby, along with his grandsons, Jack and Daniel, two sisters, Donna Ferri and Ruth Warfel, and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was a US Navy Veteran, a former Trenton and Bricktown police officer, and state employee working in various offices before eventually retiring from the Dept. of Motorvehicles. Larry and Susan enjoyed their winters in Palm City, FL for many years together. He had a passion for boating and sailing, fishing, golfing, and fixing vintage audio equipment in his spare time.
A visitation will be held from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin. Burial will be private.
Donations in Larry's name may be sent to either Tunnel to Towers or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
