Margaret McGuinness

Margaret, originally from Hazlet, resided in retirement in Manahawkin. One of 5 sisters, she was born in Hungary, and grew up in Germany.

Margaret met William while he was in the Army and stationed in Germany. They were married in 1961. Shortly thereafter, Margaret immigrated to the United States to begin her life there. Her two sons, Ryan and Steven, kept her busy nearly all the time. There was never a time of her sons wanting of anything, she loved both with all her heart.

Margaret also had a long and successful career at The Holiday Inn in Hazlet.

It was during this time that Margaret and William were blessed with four grandchildren, Jillian, Jenna, Lauren and Ryan Jr. Oma loved each one, bringing her so much happiness.

Margaret is survived by her husband William, her sons; Ryan and his wife Lisa, and their children as well as Steven and his daughter Jillian. Mom is now at peace with her four sisters, her mother and her father.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.
