Joan A Lynch

Joan Ann Lindmar Lynch, 85, of 1723 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018. The world will miss her adventurous spirit. The birds of Mill Creek Road will miss their regular feedings.

Joanie was born in Elizabeth, NJ to her beloved parents, Ann Gillespie Lindmar and Thomas Lindmar. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Elizabeth, took classes at Drake business school and worked in various positions over the years at Singers, the Newark Post office, and Sears. She was married on November 28, 1959 to James Lynch.

Joanie is survived by husband Jim, daughters Kelly (husband Sean) and Kristy (husband Rich), grandchildren Danny, Michael, Melissa, Annie and Zack, sisters Peggy and Kitty, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Joanie’s life will be held at Shinn Funeral Home in Manahawkin on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 10 am – 11:30 followed by a short service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Northshore Animal League.
