Sue, as most knew her, was born on April 7, 1933, to the late Benjamin and Maxie Wright Kelly. Sue raised 4 children and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton W. Rogers Jr.; sons, Douglas, Stephen and Jefferey; son-in-law, William Lavender; and grandson, Nicholas Rogers.
Surviving are her daughter, Kelly Lavender of East Bank; grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Lavender of Kanawha City, Brandy Lavender of East Bank and Katie (Curtis) Kirk of East Bank; and great-grandchildren, Noah Calvert, Hallie Kirk and Ayla Lavender.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow with the Rev. Mike Long officiating.
