He was born in Charleston April 10, 1947, to the late Robert and Reba Fleck Tittle. He was a member of Oak Island Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon.
He retired from the WV National Guard, the Navy Seabee’s, and DuPont’s Belle Plant with over 30 years service, although he never truly retired. Moving to North Carolina he worked at several golf courses. In addition, George was very skilled at woodworking, especially with a scroll saw. He spent hours in his workshop cutting and building all types of creations for gifts, special requests, and for sale in the local area.
George was devoted to his family. He took great pride in meeting the needs of his son Philip, who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy. He was proud of his grandchildren and all of their accomplishments. He enjoyed taking them to the beach, the aquarium, playing UNO and playing cards.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Philip.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gail; son, Scott (Donna) Tittle; his brother, Bob (Kathy); grandchildren, Brendon, Allyssa, and Brayden Tittle; and friend he considered his sister, Laura Willard.
